homeless shelter care packages

Currently, there are over 2,000 citizens that identify as homeless in Vancouver. At CACTES Association, we are striving to create social equality both locally and internationally.  We have provided bi-monthly care packages to Surrey Gateway Shelter. Surrey Gateway Shelter runs year-round and houses 32 beds for men and 8 beds for women. Lunch and dinner are served 7 days a week with amenities including reading rooms, television rooms, as well as shower and laundry facilities.

CACTES care packages contain a variety of daily necessities such as hygiene products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste etc.), non-perishable foods (canned products, cereal, oatmeal) in addition to second-hand clothing such as socks and t-shirts. This is one of three pilot projects that CACTES has implemented to help abridge societal differences and we are continuously looking for more ways to help our local community.
