2022 Education and Health Project
For 2021-2022, CACTES has partnered with Seeds of Hope Uganda to create a study to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected Uganda and the population there. The purpose of this project is to gain more knowledge and understanding about how the pandemic has affected rural communities. Surveys were held to assess the financial and psychological effects of the lockdown measures as well as the community’s knowledge and perspectives of COVID-19 and it’s effects, including the viral symptoms, transmission and protection mechanisms. The information from these surveys allows for better utilization of resources, and data would be shared with Ugandan grassroot organizations and local officials to help improve regional livelihoods and bring about policy changes to the regions surveyed.
