2022 Education and Health Project regarding hiv research

Throughout 2022, CACTES collaborated with Seeds of Hope to gather information for our study regarding the accessibility of health resources and HIV prevalence in the fishing village of Masaka in Uganda. The data that was gathered was able to help with determining what could help families and individuals living in Masaka get the health resources they need. Some of the results showed the prevalence of HIV in the community, which resources can help with alleviating some of the stressors on the community, and what would need to be implemented to help with improve patient outcome. With the help of Seeds of Hope, various members of CACTES were then able to present this study at the MOMA CME 2023 conference.
